Your North Node in the Sixth House

Karma: Escape from the physical
Soul mission: A supportive physical reality

North Node in the sixth house is your life purpose and soul mission, according to karmic astrology. The sixth house symbolizes the AREAS of LIFE and LIFE ISSUES to explore throughout your life.

Karmic astrology is a spiritual approach to astrology. I've created THREE STEPS to living your life purpose, outlined below.

If you want to go deeper, book a private karmic astrology session with me. I work with people who sincerely want to live a life with purpose, awakening their heart and working with their soul instead of struggling against it.

Step one: Appreciate your twelfth house savvy

You have many past life experiences involving charitable endeavors, solitude, a connection to the unseen and (possibly) addiction.

The first step in claiming your North Node in the sixth house is to embody the highest expression of the twelfth house (opposite to the sixth). The twelfth house represents your karmic past. So definitely appreciate — but! Don't make twelfth house issues the centre of your life.

The 12th house is one of the most complex, rich and misunderstood houses in astrology. This is because it rules aspects of life that are hidden and unconscious. The 12th is really hard to explain in black and white, but if you’re reading this, remember that it represents your karmic past. In other words, you’ve completed (or are about to complete) a major karmic cycle.

So celebrate your deep understanding of dreams and intuition, the fears you’ve worked to let go of, and the karma you agreed to heal. Be at peace with the complexity of your emotional and intuitive life and be a gentle friend to those who continue to struggle with hidden limitations.

Study the twelfth house to understand its highest potential, and choose to live that, holding these life issues ever so lightly.

To live a life with purpose: this is your first step.

Step two: Own your twelfth house karma

The 12th house is the only house that represents a major karmic cycle of completion. Where are you on the continuum?

The 12th house is unique in that it’s the only house that represents a major karmic cycle of completion. So it’s possible that your past lifetimes and knowledge of this unseen world is accessible to you – and it’s possible that your past lifetimes have been sealed.

Everyone starts at a different place on this continuum. Just know that in this lifetime, you have an opportunity to make a big leap forward. If you don’t relate to 12th house life issues at all, your past lifetimes have likely been sealed and you’re ready to step into the new cycle. If you feel dragged into 12th house areas of life, there may be some energy left to complete – but don’t get entangled. You are meant to move on.

Have you (or someone you’re close to) spent time working (or living) in a mental hospital or prison? In denial of serious problems? Conducting love affairs in secret? Struggling with addiction? Are you drawn to Africa and large animals? These are all 12th house whispers.

The shadow side of the twelfth house has to do with escaping the physical world, rather than dealing with the practical issues of life, and having faith in a bigger plan.

Step three: Explore sixth house life issues

Practice discrimination. Learn to say no. Focus on your physical health. Get organized! Wear orange (your soul colour).

North node in the sixth house life issues include health awareness, an interest in food and diet, habits, our work environment and our employees if we have them. It represents taking all of that completed karmic learning, and using it to help yourself and others. In other words, a North Node in the sixth house is about your debut in the physical world, with a strong spiritual foundation.

No matter how foreign this sounds to you, these are the life issues to explore over the course of your lifetime. So if you have your North Node in the sixth house, explore healing, body image, nutrition, fitness and self discipline and the meaning of work in your life. Strive for work efficiency and productivity, and take part in organization and planning.

On the other end of the spectrum, have you attracted a health wake up call? Been forced to explore emotional reasons for your health challenges, after traditional medicine could no longer help? Have you felt a call to be of service to others, based on what you’ve learned? These are sixth house opportunities. And exploring any of these life issues may be how you attract opportunities, or even meet your soulmate.

With a North Node in the sixth house, the care of small animals is particularly significant. In fact, your animal companion may even lead you to your next opportunity or to magically meet people who will foster your growth. If you own a business, caring for your employees may have a similar effect.

Embody the essence of your soul mission sign as you create a physical reality that supports you and others: this is the key.
