An addictive spin on awakening, soulmates and past lives

Is it time to create a new tradition?

“All major religious traditions carry basically the same message of love, compassion and forgiveness. The important thing is they should be part of our daily lives.”
– Dalai Lama

They’ve set aside a day to see. The passing of a season. For some, an ancient birth.

There are days with certain meanings. Specific meals. Accepted colours. Piney scents. Loops of music. A budget. Big expectations.

What do you feel? Are you gathering, or giving away?

The value of a tradition is how it interacts with and expresses your heart. Shifting your perspective. It’s an earthly bridge to mystery.

Traditions can be a grounding point. A reminder. A soulful underpinning. Or they can lead us away. For traditions can bind or they can blind.

If your heart is shifting, it may be time: create a new tradition.

What would happen if you discard what no longer resonates and keep what does.

What would happen if you chose give thanks each day, rather than saving it up?

Does this idea spark fear? That's the program...

Unconscious action is a program. Blindly following is a program. Not questioning is a program. We all have them...

Soulmate seekers: there are programs in relationships too. The contract of marriage. The 1.2 kids. Do you want to design your own relationship rules? Excellent: go with your instincts.

Programs that insist we need protection. We no longer need them.

Your fear of letting go of the program... is the program activating.

You can weaken the program simply by noticing it. So on this Winter Solstice – if called: create a new tradition. Your own heart bridge.

What do you want to remind yourself of? Deepen in your life? What do you wish to leave behind? These are clues.

If an old tradition strengthens you, then good. Do it, heart open. If ending a ritual frees your heart: there’s your answer, too.

Is it a year for a conscious compromise, shifting your perspective? Or radical change? You do have a choice.

PERHAPS:

Honour the essence instead of the rule.
Decide based on what you feel in your body.
Make self-nurture a new tradition.

This year, you may re-create. See the old in a new way. Nest. Or rest. Instead of a resolution, set an intention.

Scrap the program.

Meaning of life poetry... for your heart.
