I wish you healing and happiness

Hey, did you hear?
Living on Earth isn’t easy

So there will be times
... when we are tested

Moments when our most cherished beliefs
.... are challenged

(for the purpose of being raised and re-formed)

These tender human times have labels:
The fork in the road
The catalyst for change
The dark night of the soul
Awakening and becoming

But despite the tidy words
...there are no trite, easy answers
Or ways to – poof! – instantly rise above

There is only one way out
... and that is through

Please, never forget!
The view on the other side is breathtaking

I wish you healing and happiness

As we journey on along
We may ask the purpose of it all
Why life is what it is
Why shit happens
All those ends and beginnings
The experiencing and the letting go
The changes, births and re-births

I wish you healing and happiness

What quietly propels us to be seekers
Is most often unplanned

That lightning strike that shaped us
The unexpected word that put us on the path
The loss that forced us to become more whole
Not because we created our suffering
Or received it because of karma
Or deserved it

But because it happened
Because we were there
Because we felt it
And now, here we are
Facing forward
Forever changed

I wish you
Higher highs
Higher lows
True love and abundance, in every form
healing and happiness
